Transporter Kombi

As part of the Electronic Stabilisation System (ESP), this applies the brakes if the vehicle encounters a strong crosswind. Standard across the T6.1 range, this feature is activated automatically when travelling above 50 mph.

Available as an option, Lane Assist countersteers the vehicle if the driver unintentionally drifts from a lane. The system also emits audible and visual warnings via the multi-function display to alert the driver of danger.

This optional extra aids positioning into parking spaces. When reverse gear is engaged, the vehicle automatically assumes control of the steering. All the driver has to do is operate the clutch, accelerator and brake.

Included with Park Assist, Side Protection monitors the vehicle's sides and alerts you using visual and audible warnings if you're getting too close to objects such as other vehicles, pillars, walls or pedestrians. Side Protection uses 12 ultrasound sensors (6 front and 6 rear) to detect objects and create a field of vision around the vehicle.

The Transporter 6.1 features Trailer Assist, which lets the driver manoeuvre the vehicle and its trailer easily during parallel and reverse parking, using the wing mirror switch and rear-view camera.

Adaptive Cruise Control provides relaxed, safe and stress-free driving and improved safety for other road users. It measures the distance to the vehicle in front and adjusts your speed accordingly. If the vehicle in front accelerates, the T6.1 automatically follows at the set distance up to the previously selected speed. With T6.1, this system can bring the vehicle to a complete standstill and then pull away when the vehicle in front has moved (DSG only).

Make the most of the Discover Media's large touchscreen and connectivity to stay informed on the road. The 2D/2.5D navigation comes with European maps displaying a range of useful information such as points of interest and speed limits. To help you avoid congestion, this system even offers you three routes – fast, short and eco-friendly – using live traffic updates.

The Transporter kombi is available with a choice of two wheelbases and a low or high roof. Featuring an impressive load compartment capable of holding up to 9.3 m³.

With an identical choice of roof heights, wheelbases and engines to the panel van, the Transporter kombi features versatile seating with a single or double front passenger seat and removable rear seating for a further three passengers – all fitted with 3-point seatbelts and height-adjustable head restraints.

The Transporter kombi has a range of rear doors, available with either metal cladding or glass windows, and the option of to specify 250 degree opening doors with stays on long wheelbase models. The tailgate’s large opening height makes loading easy

Electric Tailgate

The optional electric tailgate features remote central locking and simple button operation. The vehicle's parking sensors check whether there is enough space to open the tailgate, preventing any damage.

Powerful twin halogen headlights and the optional LED upgrade ensure you're safe and visible on the road. Whichever option you choose, the Transporter kombi headlights offer excellent brightness, energy efficiency and long service life.
