Volkswagen's New Transporter and Caravelle Unveiled

Volkswagen has revealed the 7th generation Transporter and Caravelle at IAA Transportation 2024, offering more space, higher payloads, and increased trailer capacity. With new diesel, plug-in hybrid, and electric options, the range caters to modern driving needs. The clear, stylish design remains true to its iconic predecessors.

Versatile Options for Every Need

Volkswagen has designed the Transporter for various uses, including panel vans for goods, crewbuses for passengers, and double cabs with platform bodies. The Caravelle, a 9-seater shuttle, comes in multiple trims, including the rugged PanAmericana version.

Improved Interior and Tech

The cockpit is designed with modern digital displays, ergonomic controls, and numerous charging points, making it user-friendly for professionals. Payload capacity reaches up to 1.33 tonnes, with storage volumes increasing to 9m³. Trailer capacity has also been boosted to 2.8 tonnes.

Efficient Powertrains

There are seven powertrain options, including three turbo diesel engines, a plug-in hybrid, and three electric models. Diesel engines offer up to 170 PS, while the plug-in hybrid reaches 232 PS. The electric versions provide up to 286 PS with a 64kWh battery.
