Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Saturday 8.00am to 12.00 pm on a rota basis, i.e. 40 hours per week. 1 hour for lunch (unpaid).

An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for the role of Service Manager at our DAF Tamworth site.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to lead a dynamic team, drive service excellence, and make a real impact at a well-established and respected DAF location.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and coach the service team to consistently deliver a high-quality, adaptable customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the DAF Aftersales department, ensuring full compliance with all established procedures and standards.
  • Oversee departmental finances, including full accountability for profit and loss and resolving any related queries.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with all customers to promote long-term loyalty.
  • Take ownership of key account management, ensuring top-level service and satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective team management by maintaining appropriate staffing levels and addressing any operational issues promptly.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business and enhance service offerings.
  • Establish clear objectives and performance targets to drive ongoing improvement and success within the department

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working with DAF products or within the DAF network is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
  • Proven experience in a similar service management or leadership role within the commercial vehicle or automotive sector.
