Nissan launches new ad campaign with an eye-catching London stunt

Nissan unveils bold new ad campaign with a giant Qashqai stunt in London

Nissan has taken its latest advertising campaign to new heights, literally, with a striking stunt in London to mark the launch of the new Qashqai.

A larger-than-life model of the British-made Qashqai has been ‘parked’ atop the 49-metre-high chimney at the iconic Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, Shoreditch. This landmark installation features a fibreglass replica that is 1.5 times bigger than the actual Qashqai, measuring 6.5 metres long, 2.7 metres wide, and 2.4 metres high, and weighing in at 750kg. It took seven weeks to create and was lifted into place with two cranes earlier this week.

Around 50 people worked on the planning and execution of the installation, which will stay on display until Sunday, 22 September, as part of Nissan’s "Elevate Your Urban Drive" campaign celebrating the launch of the new Qashqai, built in Sunderland.

A Nissan spokesperson said: “We’re incredibly proud of this British-built Qashqai, so we wanted to showcase it in a way that couldn’t be missed.”

The new Qashqai features refreshed exterior design, a bold new N-Design grade, upgraded interior tech, and enhanced technology, including Google Built-in. Powered by Nissan's innovative e-POWER system, it delivers the feel of an electric car without needing to recharge.

Since 2006, over four million Qashqai models have been made in Sunderland, with 140,000 of the e-POWER Qashqai produced since 2022.
