It’s official: Nissan Qashqai stars in world’s best campaign

Nissan's 'Elevate Your Urban Drive' campaign was named the best of the week by global industry experts, thanks to its striking digital and physical elements. The campaign marked the launch of the new Nissan Qashqai, designed, engineered, and built in the UK.

A standout moment featured a Qashqai 'parked' on a 49-metre high chimney at Truman Brewery in London. The digital side of the campaign included a trio of computer-generated videos showing a Qashqai suspended by drones, flying across the UK past famous landmarks, ending with the car being placed on the chimney.

The larger-than-life Qashqai model on the 200-year-old London landmark captured public attention and generated headlines across major UK news outlets.

The campaign also included activations on Newcastle Quayside, celebrating Qashqai’s Sunderland roots, with a massive poster on the side of the Baltic gallery coinciding with the start of the Great North Run, involving over 300 Nissan employees.

In addition, there were activations to bring the ‘Elevate Your Urban Drive’ campaign to life, including an Instagram AR filter and a social media influencer event highlighting British design icons, starting at Nissan’s design headquarters in Paddington.

Created in partnership with TBWA\London, the campaign launched in the UK on 19 September and was recognised as the world's best by AdForum, the voice of the global advertising industry.
