Greenhous Group fuels Shrewsbury Food Hub’s mission

Greenhous Group, one of the largest automotive dealer groups in the UK has partnered with local charity, Shrewsbury Food Hub in a bid to reduce food waste and strengthen the local community.

Shrewsbury Food Hub is a volunteer-powered charity that stops food waste to protect the environment and help the community by collecting surplus food from shops, manufacturers and farms and sharing it with local groups.

Greenhous Group have donated 30 boxes to collect excess produce and 15 tins for monetary contributions. This initiative aims to streamline the collection and distribution of surplus food, directly supporting individuals in the community and reducing food waste.

The donated boxes will play a crucial role in collecting excess produce from local shops, farms, and manufacturers, while the tins will facilitate the gathering of funds essential for the operational costs of the charity.

Ashley Passant, Managing Director, Greenhous Group Car and Van Operations, commented on the partnership; "We are committed to supporting the communities where we operate, and our collaboration with Shrewsbury Food Hub is a reflection of this commitment. We’re not only supporting our local community but reinforcing our dedication to reducing food waste, aligning with Greenhous Group’s wider environmental strategy.”
