Britain's Electric Drivers Best Winter Breaks Revealed

The best winter destinations for electric car drivers in the UK have been revealed in a new research by Vauxhall. Using Condé Nast Traveller's list of top 10 winter getaways in Britain, Vauxhall compared the accessibility and public charging options of these locations from the 15 most populous cities in the UK, using the 209-mile range of the Vauxhall Mokka Electric. The research also took into consideration the number of public charging points and the availability of electric car-friendly accommodation.

The top destination, according to the research, was York in North Yorkshire, which is within reach from 11 of the most populous cities and offers 47 public charging points, 11 of which are rapid chargers with speeds over 50kW. York also boasts the most number of accommodation options that provide charging for electric vehicles, with 21 options within a 10-mile radius of the city centre.
