Adams Morey Bournemouth prepare for The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in Support of Adam's Hoofing Hut

Colleagues at Adams Morey Bournemouth are getting ready to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge 12^th & 13^th July. The infamous trek spans 24 miles across the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, featuring an ascent of 5,200 feet. The challenge will be in aid of Adams Hoofing Hut, a local charity that, in 2015, purchased a beach hut to welcome serving and veteran Royal Marines and their families to the beach to enjoy quality time together at no cost, all in memory of Adam Robert Brown, who, aged 25, was tragically killed while serving in Afghanistan on August 1, 2010. One of Adams dreams was to own a beach hut at Mudeford Sandbank in Dorset where he spent many childhood holidays.

Last year Adams Morey colleagues took part in a 14 mile walk across Bournemouth Bay, however this year have stepped up to take on a greater challenge which must be completed in under 12 hours and includes the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. Hoping to raise £1,000, the money donated to Adams Hoofing Hut will fund the continued operation and maintenance of the hut and keep Adam’s dream alive whilst providing a space for veterans to relax.

Adrian Isaacs, Regional Service Manager, Adams Morey West concluded: Last year’s challenge was a huge success and this year we wanted to challenge ourselves further. We have been actively preparing for this challenge by trekking the Dorset Coastal paths to boost our fitness. We can’t wait to start the next challenge!
