Greenhous Commercials Complete A Year Of Fundraising For Compton Care Charity

Local truck dealership group, Greenhous Commercials, will be presenting a cheque for £3000 to local charity Compton Care following a successful year of fundraising.
Each Greenhous Commercials select a charity to support as a business and this year it has been Compton Care. West Midlands based charity Compton Care offer palliative care for people with complex and incurable conditions offering clinical care services and expertise, emotional, practical, and spiritual support from a range devoted employees and volunteers.
Greenhous Commercials Dealer Principal, John Turley, explained: “We chose to raise money for Compton Care because of the high quality, accessible care, and support offered to people in our community with life limiting conditions and their families in times of need. This year has given us the opportunity to continue to support a local cause within our community. The dedication of our colleagues to get involved from bake sales to bungee jumps is testament to the final amount donated.”
Over the past year, employees from Greenhous Commercials have been raising money and have successfully fundraised £3000. This was partially raised with help from local businesses donating prizes and days out to raffle at corporate and internal fundraising days, providing experiences to enjoy and share with family and friends.
One such example was a 160-foot bungee jump, donated by BuyAGift.com. Jessica Street, Senior Purchase Ledger used this donation as a fundraising opportunity, raising an incredible £640 to take the leap in August.
The year of fundraising was finalised with all dealership employees invited to wear their football tops to celebrate the World Cup during November. The day included mini games, an employee bake-sale, raffles, and food stalls, raising a total of £1050!
We would like to thank all of our employees who helped make this day successful, with special thanks to Alex Green and Lana Carpenter for organising the day and working hard to get the donations that we have received below for our raffles along with Sian Elcock who also helped by promoting the day, designing the cake toppers and taking photos to celebrate our day. In addition, we would like to give thanks to Dave Moss for donating an overnight stay at Rowton Castle, John Lacey for donating a £50 Amazon.com Voucher and also a pair of DAF Airpods and Andy Harley for donating a £50 Gourmet 4 Voucher and for raising money at our two customer golf days this year. Finally, a huge thank you to John Turley, Dealer Principal for rounding our raised total of £2693.05 up to an amazing £3000!
We can't wait for next year's Charity Day!
